Sharon L. (Lewis) Halpert

Sharon L. (Lewis) Halpert, 70, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday after a long courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She graduated from Eastwood High School and lived in Dewitt. Sharon worked for many years as the activity director for the Jewish Home of CNY, in Dewitt. She was an avid SU Fan and loved to entertain. She was always willing to help those in need and was a contributed to many numerous charities.
She is predeceased by her father, Erwin R. Lewis; a sister, Bonnie Harrington; and one child in 1958.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Stuart R. Halpert; their four children, Debi (David) Lockwood, Kay (Richard) Carapella, Phillip R. (Karen) Kreis and Jeffrey (David Chrysler) Kreis; and loving pet and friend, Midnight; mother, Arlene E. Lewis; sister, Donna (Greg) Rospendowski; three grandchildren, Phillip and Shawn Kreis and Melissa Sardella; several nieces, nephews, cousins and one great niece.
There will be no services or calling hours.
