It is with a heavy heart but a playful spirit, we remember Sergio, our beloved bundle of joy, who brought endless laughter and mischief into our lives.
Sergio's short but vibrant journey on earth has ended, leaving behind a legacy of love, giggles, and a trail of potato head parts. About 3 years old, “Serge” developed an extraordinary love for Potato Heads. Not just content with assembling them, he took immense joy in the grand drama of disassembling. This then morphed into a ridiculous love of destroying them! He was very resourceful in his destructive endeavors (chainsaws, microwaves, hydraulic bed, etc.). Sergio loved water. Whether it was splashing in the bathtub or making waves in a pool, he treasured what little time he was allowed in the water, he found his happiness in the simplest of joys. Sergio was always ready for an aquatic adventure. He had an uncanny knack for making every moment special. Sergio never missed a chance to touch a chin, giving each person his signature greeting, or kiss an arm full of hair, sharing his love in the most unique ways. His small gestures were big in affection, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Sergio was adored beyond measure by his loving parents, Renee and Peter Curkendall; his siblings, Nettie, Marriela, Joshua, Trayvon and Cody Curkendall, and a wonderful team of nurses and direct care staff. Their unwavering dedication and care brought immense comfort and happiness to Sergio, making every day brighter.
While our hearts ache with his passing, we celebrate the boundless joy Sergio brought into our lives. His spirit, filled with laughter, love, and a penchant for playful destruction, will live on in our hearts forever. Fly high our sweet boy. You will always be our sunshine, our water baby, and the master of the Potato Head.
