Sara Durst passed away unexpectedly on 06/09/14 at the age of 60. Surviving members of the family include her loving husband Mark, her sons Vernon and Chris Pedro, and daughter Laura. She is also survived by seven grandchildren whom she loved and spoiled very much. Extended family and close friends mourn her loss as well.
Sara worked for The Post Standard as a newspaper carrier for twenty-plus years, making friends everywhere with a smile and a joke. She took each day by storm and with a perky attitude. Many would say Sara was the hardest working person they knew.
Her hobbies included gardening, crafts, word search puzzles and solitaire. She loved to cook for a crowd, taking pride in each meal she made.
There will not be funeral services, per Sara's request. There will be a gathering at her home on 06/21/14 starting at 2pm for the many people who loved and cherished her. And a Benefit to come later.
