Sandra "Sandi" DiBianco battled ovarian cancer and passed away peacefully at St. Francis House on Friday July 1, 2022. Sandra was a devoted mother, survived by her children Jennifer and Richard and brother George DeSalvo. Sandi was an incredible inspiration to all who crossed her path. Her sense of humor, caring, compassionate nature and inquisitive spirit drew many people to her. Sandi was a mentor, friend and second mother to many.
Sandi was an avid volunteer and served on many charitable Boards, such as Chadwick Residence, Syracuse Stage, Everson Museum, Cultural Resources Council, North Syracuse Educational Foundation, and served on the North Syracuse School Board for over two decades.
Sandi believed strongly in supporting literacy, educational opportunities and encouraging women to realize all their innate abilities and strengths.
Sandi had a love of the arts and used her artistic abilities and talents to support the Everson Museum Festival of Trees. Sandi loved to garden, bake and cook. She had an eye for fashion and loved to bestow gifts and books to those she cared about.
Sandi knew that the smallest gesture could make a difference and thus would like her legacy to continue. In lieu of flowers and to honor Sandi's memory, the family is requesting donations to the Upstate Lecture in Gynecologic Oncology Fund # 1355, or to Francis House, francishouseny.org
