Samuel R. "Sam" LiBritz, Jr. 82, of Cicero, passed away on Tuesday at the VA Medical Center. Sam was born in Herkimer, NY on December 21, 1938 the son of Samuel and Katherine LiBritz. On May 10, 1969, he was united in marriage to Virginia Greco. Sam served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1962. Samuel retired from Niagara Mohawk after many years. Upon retirement Sam was an employee at New Comer Cremations & Funerals tending the door. He enjoyed reading, being with his family & friends and was a devoted father. Sam was predeceased by his father, Samuel, Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; his mother, Katherine Foresti-LiBritz; two daughters, Deanna LiBritz, Kimberly (Matt) Civiok; grandson, Zachary; granddog, Zoey Cannoli Civiok; his two brothers, Richard (Addie) Libritz, Gary LiBritz; and sister-in-law, Maryann (Tom) Derella.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 4pm.
