Samiesha Gage

Samiesha Gage, (known to family and close friends as Kete) 46, of Syracuse, passed away at home on February 6, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Kete was born in Syracuse, New York on March 27, 1977, to the late Sam and Effie Cuyler.

Kete worked for First Student as a bus monitor from 2008-2022. Touching the lives of many children. Kete worked for Exceptional Family Resources as a Direct Support Professional from 2021-present.

She was preceded in death by Mother, Effie Cuyler; Father, Sam Cuyler.

Kete was a vibrant soul who found joy in exploring the world through travel, sharing her culinary passion with loved ones, and cherishing moments with family and friends. Amidst her love for adventure and sharing her meals with dear ones, family and friends remained the cornerstone of her happiness. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to experience her light.

She is survived by her Husband Myron Gage; Son, Shamar Gage (Michaela Reynolds); Stepsons; Marcel Gage, Tyler Gage, Stefen Gage (Nadirah Gage), Donte' Gage (Fatima Gage). Siblings; Rebecca Jones (James Jones), Donald Jordan (Cynthia Jordan), Sam Cuyler Jr. (Nikki Cuyler), Freddy Powell, Michael Powell (Lisa Johnson), Sandra Goodrich, Cynthia Groover (Ron Seymore), Muriel Green, (niece/sister) Sharkia Hackett (Leroy Hackett), Latisha Stanley (Deartis Stanley), and a host of nieces and nephews, and loving dog Onyx.

Memorial services will take place at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses 1900 W. Fayette Street, Syracuse, NY, 13204 Saturday February 17, 2024, from 230-4p.
