Ryan R. Wheeler, 51, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Philipsburg, NJ on July 28, 1966 son of Raymond Merwin and Anna Wheeler.
Ryan enjoyed spending time with his family and was very devoted to his dogs. Ryan liked sports, especially college and professional basketball. He enjoyed his adult beverages and people really enjoyed being around him.

Ryan is survived by his daughter, Kerrisa Wheeler, mother, Anna Flewellen, brothers, Raymond R. Merwin, Randy Wheeler, Edward Flewellen, Carl Flewellen, sister Heather Merwin along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Raymond Merwin; and sister, Laurie Brown.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery.
