Ryan S. Szewczyk

Ryan Scott Szewczyk, 32, of Syracuse, passed away May 12, 2022.

Ryan was born in Syracuse, New York on May 3, 1990 to Renee Szewczyk and Richard McCarthy.

If you knew Ryan, you knew what an amazing soul he was. Growing up in East Syracuse, everyone knew his name. Ryan was full of life; he loved hard, loved making people laugh, and was always the life of the party.

Ryan had an undeniable gift as a lyricist; music was Ryan's passion in life. He had a smile that lit up the room, a heart of gold, and never gave a second thought to offering help to anyone in need.

"He is now living his life through the hearts of us all."

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Gerald Szewczyk and Uncle, Gerald S. Szewczyk.

He is survived by his Mother, Renee Szewczyk; Father, Richard McCarthy; Siblings, RJ McCarthy, Hayley McCarthy, Nevaeh Coleman; Stepsister, Lacy (Jordan) Degnan; Maternal Grandmother, Barbara Szewczyk; Paternal Grandmother, Jerilyn Procopio; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; As well as his best friends, Justin Wright, Brian Gerace Jr. and Robert Scott.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 24th from 4-5 PM with a sharing of memories to follow at 5 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse.
