Ruthe J. Case

Ruthe J. Case, 90, of Cicero, passed away November 29, 2023. Ruthe was born in Trucksville, Pennsylvania on July 14, 1933 to Claude and Mildred Johnson. Ruthe graduated from Kingston Township High School, PA. After graduation, Ruthe attended Grace Downs Air Career School in New York City. She worked for Eastern Airlines until she married the love of her life of 67 years, Donald Case. Ruthe retired from Cicero North Syracuse, where she was employed as a teachers aids in 1994. She was an avid golfer, belonging to multiple golf clubs. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with Donald. She was a parishioner of the Cicero United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Ruthe was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Case; grandson, Tony Tassone; siblings, Jean Long, Shirley Swan and Harry Johnson.

Ruthe is survived by her children, Gary (Donna) Case, Thomas (Karen) Case and Joy (Thomas) Tassone; six grandchildren, Vanessa, Fred, Trevor, Trenton, Mackenzie, Theresa; great grandchildren, Loretta; brother in law, James Case; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday December 5, 2023 from 10-11AM at Cicero United Methodist Church, where a funeral service will follow at 11AM. Burial will be made in Pine Plains Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruthe's name to Cicero United Methodist Church.
