Ruth E. Wilkins

Ruth E. Wilkins, 84, passed away on Sunday with her loving family by her side.
Ruth was born on April 24, 1932 in Jessup, PA, the daughter of the late Michael and Stella Oleksak.
Ruth was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cicero and loved to sing in the church choir. Ruth loved big family gatherings, where she could cook, entertain and spend time with family and friends. She was a very sociable person and loved by all. Ruth retired from Merchants Bank in Cicero after many years of service. Most of all she was a wonderful mother and loving grandmother. She will be truly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband George, her infant son Gary, her son Thomas, her brother Michael and sister Regina.
Ruth is survived by her children; George (Charle) Wilkins III, Lorrie (David) Smith, Mary (Joseph) Bateman, Elaine Wright, grandchildren; David, Gregory, Todd, Jonathan, Rory, Andrew, Adam, several great grandchildren, brother, Joseph (Grace) Oleksak, sister, Lorraine VanVranken, sister-in-law Joyce Oleksak, along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero.
Burial will take place at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
The family would like to thank all of the caregivers, especially her Nurse Practitioner Marcia, who took such wonderful care of Ruth while at the Cottages at Garden Grove.
