Ruth M. VanAuken, 88, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at Birchwood Nursing Home. She was born on January 6, 1926 in Syracuse, daughter of Henry and Margaret VanAuken. She worked for the U.S. Dept. of Defense for over 40 years.
She was predeceased by her sister, Alice VanAuken and brother Henry VanAuken. Surviving are her brother, Robert (Marilyn) VanAuken, nephews, Jim and Gary VanAuken.
Graveside services will be held on Monday 1:30pm at St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. There are no calling hours.
