Ruth L. Reed

Ruth L. Reed, 88 of Clay, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Jamestown, Ohio on August 22, 1936 to the late Loren W. and Donna L. Coe (Brakefield).

 She had been in failing health for several months. She loved to cook and sew. She is survived by daughters-in-laws, Darla of Central Square and Janet Reed of Clay; grandchildren, Josh, Chad, Daniel and Seth; great-grandchildren, Colton, Sephora, Aaron and Coy; sister, Anna Mae Coe of Grove City, Oh and several nieces and nephews.

 She is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Marvin Reed; sons, Ed and Gary; grandson, Jeremy; brother, Howard Clark Coe; sister, Jeanie Hanners.

 Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY 13212 on Wednesday, November 13 from 10-11am. Funeral Services will follow at 11am. Burial will be at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
