Ruth Howland, 83, passed away on Friday, May 30th at Elderwood at Liverpool.
She was a gifted teacher and reading specialist in Horseheads, and Port Byron NY for many years.
She also served as a school administrator in the Oneida BOCES prior to retirement.
She traveled and had visited every US state and National Park as well as some countries in Europe. She was a loving, caring, and generous mother.
She is survived by her special friend Charles Adams of Syracuse, sons Michael Howland (Cathy) of Jacksonville, Fl, Steven Howland (Yolanda) of San Leandro, CA and daughters Vicky Lounsbury(David) of Liverpool, NY and Valerie Howland of Pine City, NY and her grandchildren Peter, Jennifer and Sarah Lounsbury and Christopher, Madeline, James(Jackie) Howland.
The family would like to thank everyone at Elderwood for the wonderful care provided.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elderwood at Liverpool Resident Council.
There will be no services.
