Ruth E. Tillman, 89, of Central Square passed away on Tuesday at her family's home. She was born on December 2, 1924 daughter of the late John and Ada Stott. She worked at GE for several years and at one time was owner of the Big Dip in North Syracuse. She also taught Sunday School at Buckley Road Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband Aubrey in 1979, her 2 sons: Ronald & Roy, her grandson, RJ, daughter-n-law, Janie Tillman, and her son-in-law, Roy J. Stassi.
Surviving are her son, Curtis (Sandy) Tillman, daughter, Jo-Ann Stassi (Owen "Tiny" Hanavan), 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main , N. Syracuse. Services will be held on Monday 11am at Buckley Road Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
Contributions may be made to the Missions of Buckley Road.
