Russell D. Hammond Sr.
May 17, 1939 — June 18, 2022
Russell D. Hammond Sr., 83, a lifetime resident of Pompey, NY died peacefully in his sleep on June 18th, 2022. He was predeceased by his wife, Cherry Lee Hammond, his parents, George and Margaret Hammond and a brother, Randall Hammond.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Nancy Hammond, his children, Russell (Terri) Hammond Jr., Wendy (his favorite), Stephen (Julie) Hammond, along with many grand and great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews, who he loved immensely.
Russ was a hard working man. He retired from New Process Gear after 41 years of service. He was funny, caring and loved making us all laugh. During retirement, you would always find him on his beloved lawn mower.
There will be no services per his request.
