Rudolf H. Friedel, 91, of Cicero passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023. He was born in New York City to Leo and Anna Maria Friedel. He married his loving wife, Barbara in 1955. They were happily married for 64 years until her death in May 2020. Together they raised 5 children in Uniondale, NY and moved to Cicero in 1996. Rudy ran a professional printing press for 45 years at Histacount Corporation in Melville, Long Island until his retirement. Rudy served in the United States Army as a military policeman in Germany during the Korean War. First and foremost, he was a family man. He was an avid photographer, bicyclist and was frequently found repairing bicycles for neighborhood children. Rudy was a true gentleman who had a humble faith.
Rudy was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara Friedel, and his brother, Alfred Friedel.
He is survived by his children: Maryanne Friedel (Cliff Connery), Elizabeth (Edwin) George, Therese (Thomas) Stimson, Geralyn (James) Loprieno, and Michael (Dori) Friedel; 14 grandchildren: Michael (Emily), Ryan (Sabrina), Colin (Cassi), Michelle (Doug), Brian, Kevin (Maria), Mary (Michael), John (Amanda), Katie (Michael), Janie, Sarah, Bryan, Kyle, and Alexandra; 5 great-grandchildren: Sadie, River, Henry, Jack, and Valentino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero on April 5, 2023 at 9:30 am, followed by interment at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Mass will also be livestreamed via sacredheartofcicero.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rudy's name may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY 13039 or North Country Ministry, 3933 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY 12855.
