Ruby Killingbeck, 81, of North Syracuse, formerly of Bladen County, NC, joined her husband, Raymond, on Friday. Her daughters were at their beloved mother's bedside as she went to be with the Lord.
Ruby enriched the lives of everyone she met. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a loving aunt and a loyal friend. She was a warm and gracious southern lady. Ruby enjoyed watching hummingbirds in her flower garden, growing orchids and all animals. She lovingly spoiled her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved singing and listening to the Oak Ridge Boys and attending their concerts. Ruby loved NASCAR, reading, word puzzles and National Geographic.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Raymond of 53 years, parents and 14 brothers and sisters. Ruby is survived by 3 daughters; Cheri Vince and Jolynn Killingbeck of North Syracuse and Nancy (James, Jr.), Galvin, , Delaware, 5 grandchildren; Sgt. Richard Vince, Jr., USMC, OH, Cristina Vince, NYC, Sgt. Jonathan Vince, US Army, GA, 2nd Lt. James Galvin, III, USMC and Capt. Stephen Galvin, EMT, Delaware, great grandchildren, Samantha Vince, NC, Sebastien Brundege, NYC, Brody, Giada and Noah Vince , GA, along with 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the Staff at St. Joseph's Hospital MICU for all the care, support and the gentleness you gave to our mom.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your local animal shelter or to the Butterfly Garden of Hope in Liverpool.
