Roy F. Littlefield, 88, of Camillus, New York died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at home.
A native of Belle Isle, New York he was the son of the late, Lynn and Ethel (Sullivan) Littlefield and he lived in Camillus for 60 years. Roy was a graduate of Solvay High School and possessed a commercial Pilot license. Roy retired from Sears, Roebuck and Company following 35 years of service in the Sales Department. He was a 60 year member of Fairmount Community Church where he served on numerous boards including Deacons, Missions, Christian Education and Youth Group Leader. Roy was also an active member in Toast Masters of Syracuse, Camillus Historical Society and both the Camillus and Eastwood Senior Citizens. He was an avid NY Yankee, NY Giants and Syracuse University Sports fan.
Roy was a US Army veteran serving in WWII (1942-1945) stationed in the Philippines Combat Zone.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Raymond Littlefield in 1993 and two brothers Earl and Nelson Littlefield.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Jean Rouse of Camillus, New York and Linda (Gary) Mann of Fulton, New York; a sister, Ruth Miller of Chenango Bridge, New York; beloved friend of 16 years, Flora Bailey; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 11AM at Fairmount Community Church, 4801 West Genesee Street, Camillus, New York. Burial in Belle Isle Cemetery will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, New York.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairmount Community Church or Hospice Foundation of CNY.
