Roy E. Meeks, 68, of Oneida, died Saturday. Born in Syracuse, he resided in East Syracuse for most of his life. Roy was a Truck Driver with Barnes & Cones for many years. He was an Air Force Veteran and a member of the Solvay Recreational Bowling League.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara (Brownell), two sons; Leonard (Diane) Meeks and Roy E. Meeks Jr., three daughters; Debbie (Daniel) Christy, Terri-Lynn Dornes and Mitzi (Joseph) Wells, two sisters; Virgina Lewis and Janet Paul, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 7 PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be private. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street.
Contributions may be made directly to the family.
