Roy C. Barry, 86, of North Syracuse passed away Monday at home following a brief illness. Born in Syracuse and a WW II Veteran of the Army Air Corps 172 1st Signal Service Battalion, he was employed with Crouse Hinds. Roy was a member of the Cicero Senior Center – Young at Heart and he was an avid NY Ranger Hockey Fan for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife; Anne (Myers) Barry, daughter; Susan Barry, son; David (Patricia) Barry, grandchildren; Andrew, Scott and Nicole Barry, Nicholas and Adam Tornatore, one brother, one niece and several nephews.
Services will be on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to St. Rose Endowment Fund and/or Cicero Senior Center.
