Roy A. Grant, 78 of Largo, FL (formerly of Syracuse) died Friday, November 11, 2011.
Roy retired from CNA Insurance Company in 1991 and moved to Seminole, Florida with his wife, Maureen and daughter, Erin.
He was a member of The Brigadiers Drum and Bugle Corp as a trumpeter, and also was Chairman Emeritus and founding member of The Florida Brass Drum and Bugle Corp.
Roy enjoyed "cruising the Caribbean" with his family and looked forward to summer visits in Syracuse each year with his wife, Maureen.

He remained an avid Syracuse basketball fan and also rooted for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Rays. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife Maureen (Eustace), children; Kelly, Tim, Sean, Shannon and Erin and five grandchildren: Katy, Eric, Jessica, Ryan and Justin. He is also survived by brothers; Ernie and Ron and sisters; Allene and Alma. He was predeceased by sisters, Lorraine and Donna.
