Rosemary Leo Merrill
January 25, 1928 — May 7, 2020
Rosemary Leo Merrill, 92, passed peacefully after a long fulfilling life.
Born Jan 25, 1928 and raised by her Italian immigrant grandparents, Rosemary spoke fluent Italian. Rosie met the love of her life Thomas "Eddie" Merrill (deceased) and had 4 children: Kate Cormack, Ellen Kong, Mark Merrill (deceased) and Trisha King. She most adored her role as "Grandma" to her 13 grandchildren and proudly became "GG" to her 20 great-grandchildren.
As the Co-founder of the Syracuse Chapter (JDRF) Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, she became a lifelong advocate to search for a cure. Rosemary was an excellent seamstress and a fast typist/keypunching back in the day. Rosie loved and enjoyed music, dancing, singing and relished in 90+ temperatures. She touched many lives with her generosity, fun hats & attire and playful personality…"Love You"
