Rosemary Hanagan, of Oswego, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY.
She was born in Utica in 1946, the daughter of Bernard and Helyn (Windheim), and graduated from Richfield Springs Central School.
She continued her education at SUNY Morrisville and SUNY Oneonta, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree.
She taught in the Oswego School system, and she published an e-novel called "The Curse of the Blue Diamond".
Rosemary was a talented artist and naturalist. She was a devout Catholic and served in several capacities in her local parish. Her volunteering touched the hearts of many, and she will be remembered for her giving and caring to others.
She is survived by her brother, Terry (Debbie) Hanagan of Tennessee, and sister, Gretchen (Roger) Watkins of Alberta, Canada. She is predeceased by sister Bernadette (Leon) Eddy and grand nephew, Kevy.
A cremation has already taken place, and a family burial will be at a future date.
Arrangements were handled through New Comer Cremations & Funerals.
