Rosemarie "Ro" Lofmark passed away on Friday October 2, at the age of 95, surrounded by her loving family. Ro was born on March 11, 1925 in Syracuse, NY to parents, Clara and John DeYulio.
She is predeceased by her late husband, Robert Paice who died in 1962. After many years of raising two daughters alone, Rosemarie found love again with Roy Lofmark, who passed away in 1993.
Ro is survived by her two daughters, Kerry Paice (Putnam Monroe) and Patricia Paice; two stepdaughters, Kris Wedington (Wally) and Wendy Majo (Curt) and stepson, Scott Lofmark; grandchildren, Zack Pudney, Jacey Pudney and Kelsey Pudney.
Ro retired after 50 years of dedicated service with Cardinal Health Group; however, Ro's story doesn't end there. Her inability to sit still and enjoy idle time meant that she needed to create some "post" retirement activities. As a result, Ro decided to take on 2 jobs. One was at the Regal Theaters in Shoppingtown Mall where she was known as the sweet and petite "little blonde lady" who took your tickets and made sure you were headed in the right direction. If you were lucky enough to see her at the Factory Card Outlet, job #2, she may have been the one who directed you to exactly the right card because she took the time to read each and every one. Her contagious smile and grace will be remembered by all who knew her.
Ro was known for baking wonderful, traditional Christmas Cookie Platters and for generously giving gifts to all of her friends and acquaintances for any occasion. Holidays were the most special moments for her as she loved to decorate her home in the hope it would bring smiles to those who passed through her door. When her time permitted, Ro loved to travel, go to horse races and create beautiful poetry. Her greatest pleasure, though, was spending time with her 3 grandchildren and watching them grow and achieve. Her contagious spirit and zest for life will forever stay in our hearts.
Friends and relatives are welcome to attend a graveside service which will take place on Friday 10/9/20 at Assumption Cemetery at 2PM.
A celebration of Ro's life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Disabled American Veterans Association or St. Jude's hospital.
