Rosemarie A. McGinnis, 86, of Manlius, NY passed away on Saturday. Rosemarie was born on June 13, 1932 in Little Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Protoczy and Blanche Roginiski.
Rosemarie lived her life with tremendous Catholic Faith and love for her family. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and calligraphy as evidence by the many blankets and cards possessed by her children and grandchildren. After her retirement from Syracuse University she enjoyed traveling with her husband to visit her children and traveled to Florida during the winter months with her husband, James F. who preceded her in death during March of 2017.
She is also predeceased by her siblings; Helen, Edith, Stella, Walter & Steve and brother-in-law John (Theresa) McGinnis.
Rosemarie is survived by her sons, James D. (Judy) McGinnis, Timothy McGinnis, Thomas (Marianne) McGinnis; daughters, Bernadette McGinnis, Ann Marie McGinnis, Marlene McGinnis; grandchildren, Michael McGinnis, Paige Collins, Michelle McGinnis, Ashley McGinnis, Sean Patrick McGinnis, Mary Kathleen McGinnis; sister, Ann Lawrence; brother-in-law, William (Ginny) McGinnis; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10am at Holy Cross Church, DeWitt. Burial will take place at Village of Manlius Cemetery.
