Roseanna L. Williamson, born December 20, 1934 to the late Denver and Bernice (Brake) Hedrick in Hendricks, WV, passed away at home on July 13th after a long illness.
Roseanna (Rosie) was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister as well as by her daughter Kimberly, and her two sons, Carson and Christopher. She moved from Ohio to Syracuse in 1969 with her husband (ex, deceased) George Williamson and their 7 children.
Rosie was first and foremost, a mother and a homemaker who loved gardening and exploring the woods and identifying and growing all sorts of plants and flowers. She enjoyed playing games of all kind but particularly enjoyed cards and scrabble. She also enjoyed doing puzzles. She worked at MONY in the cafeteria for many years before retiring in 1996.
She is survived by her sister Erma (Jane) Gerdeman; her son Cody (Jeanne)Williamson; her daughter Cindy (Chris) Eisen; her daughter Karol (Vernon) White; her son Kevin Williamson and her stepson, Ernie (LaMona) Williamson. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Rosie will be remembered for her sense of humor as well as her kindness and generosity to others, as she would help anyone in need. She was the strongest woman I have ever known and she will be greatly missed.
