Rose (DePasquale) Verone Salanger, 86, of Syracuse passed away at Loretto Cunningham on Tuesday after a brief illness. Rose was born in Canastota, daughter of Albert and Frances DePasquale, where she was raised on the family farm. She attended Canastota High School. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Verone, her second husband, Bernard Salanger and her 7 siblings.
Surviving are her 5 children; Gregory (JoAnn) Verone, Albert (Maureen) Verone, Diane Verone, Francine (Donald) Stanford, Joseph (Lorraine) Verone, 8 grandchildren, along with her brother and 9 sisters.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to all her caretakers at the Loretto Cunningham Nursing Home. Thank you for your care and support.
A private memorial service for Rose's family will be held 4pm Friday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Humane Association of CNY.
