Rose (Fiermonti) Rodriguez, 86, of Syracuse passed away Friday at St. Camillus Nursing Facility after a brief illness. She was an active member of Lady of Peach Church in Lakeland, NY for over 50 years. She worked for several years as a waitress at Raphael's Restaurant on State Fair Blvd. She is predeceased by her husband, Manuel who died in 1981.
Surviving are her daughter; Rosalind (Harold) Philp and her son, Benjamin (Gail) Rodriguez; her granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Philp and great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Rosalind Layou, three sisters; Isabelle Casciano, Theresa Polifroni, Nicoletta (Tony) Mancuso all of Syracuse and two brothers; Thomas (Shari) Fiermonti from Syracuse and Patsy (Delores) Fiermonti of Florida.
Services will be held on Thursday at 6:30 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be private. Calling Hours will be on Thursday from 4-6:30 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, CNY Chapter, 441 Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
