Rose Marie White

Rose Marie White, 72, of Central Square, passed away on Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1940 in Central Square, daughter of Lawrence and Virginia Hoyt Mallory. Rose was a Central Square High School graduate and worked as a hairdresser in the area for several years. On July 12, 1975 she was married to Merl D. White. Rose was a member of the American Legion #915 in Central Square, the Cherry Blossoms Chapter of the Home Bureau, she sang with various country bands and enjoyed camping with her family at Stoney Knolles Campground.
Surviving are her husband, Merl, 5 sons; David Rowe, Jeffrey Rowe, Edward (Sarah) Rowe, Philip White, Frederick White, 2 daughters; Merlene White, Virginia (James) Stewart, 10 grandchildren, 17 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, a brother, Ronald (Diane) Mallory, 4 sisters; Margaret (Kenneth) Hare, Janet Mallory, Mary (Gordon), Lorraine (Craig) O'Neill, sister-in-law, Cathy Mallory Coville, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael White and a brother, Thomas Mallory.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 11-1pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse with services to follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.
