Rose Ilacqua

April 25, 1934 — September 28, 2023

Rose (Manzi) Ilacqua, 89, passed away on Sept. 28, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born in Syracuse, NY the daughter of the late Augusto and Giacinta (Lampreda) Manzi.

Rose worked in finance until her children were born, and later worked on the board of elections. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament church in Syracuse. Rose enjoyed cooking family dinners, sewing and loved to dance. She loved her family very much and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered as a selfless woman who had a very generous and pure heart.

She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Frank N. Ilacqua; her brother, Joseph Manzi; her sisters, Barbara Milazzo, Mary Anne Felicia and Antoinette Ventresca.

Rose is survived by her children, Anthony Ilacqua, Frank (Catherine) Ilacqua, Mark Ilacqua; her sister in law Rosemary Ilacqua-Stewart; grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.

The family would also like to thank Hospice of New Hartford, NY and her additional caregiver Tasheka Brown.

Mass will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church - 3127 James St, Syracuse, NY 13206.
