Rose M. Amato

Rose Mary Amato, 73, of Clay, passed away Friday at Community General Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she was an avid bowler and belonged to several leagues at the Flamingo Bowl and Strike & Spare. Rose worked for Hall & McChesney Purse Factory and most recently for Mc Donald's in Cicero for the past 8 years. Rose is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Peter J. Amato and her sister, Helen Mancino.
She is survived by one son; John P. Amato; one daughter, Joanne Amato; brother, Andy Navetta; two sisters, Connie Farrar, Catherine Donato; two grand daughters, Chrissy and Samantha Amato; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Clay. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 4-8 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse.
