Rosaria "Susan" Orlando
May 25, 2014
Rosaria, 82, of Baldwinsville, a loving wife & mother, passed away with her family by her side. She gave up a successful career as a secretary & stenographer to be a stay-at-home mom. Aside from her family, her Catholic faith was paramount in her life. She was very devoted to her Church and to the Blessed Mother in particular. She served as National Coordinator for First Saturday Reparation for the World Apostolate of Fatima, at which she spearheaded a national campaign to start First Saturday Devotions in parishes across the US. For over 10 years, her articles appeared in Soul Magazine, a national publication on Fatima. She has authored a First Saturday Bookmark and First Saturday Booklet, and lectured on this topic, which was very dear to her heart. She had a natural talent for music and co-wrote and sang many beautiful liturgical songs with her daughter.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Andre; and her loving children, Tonette of Baldwinsville and James of Syracuse.
Calling hours will be 4-7PM Tuesday at St. Augustine Parish, Baldwinsville. Mass will be 10am Wednesday, also at the church. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
