Ronald L. "Ronnie" Somers, of East Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at home surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on September 8, 1960 son of the late Roland and Evelyn Somers. Ronnie enjoyed the outdoors, helping friends and family with home projects and listening to music. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Ronnie was an avid SU Fan.
Surviving are his lifetime partner Mary Ellen Tillinghast, son Shaun Somers, stepchildren: Angela Tillinghast, Christopher and Jessica Ross, sister, Deborah Somers, 3 brothers: David (Joy), Ricky (Terry) and Stephen Somers, 6 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by step mother, Marie Somers, stepsister Linda Franks, stepbrother Patrick and Michael Brennan.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday 1-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
