Ronald J. DeFrancis Sr., 69, Cicero, was called home by his Lord on Thursday morning. Born in Syracuse, Ron served four years in the US Air Force and then, after 35 years of service, retired from the IBEW Local 43. He was a member of the North Syracuse Baptist Church. Throughout his retirement, he volunteered with the North Area Meals on Wheels.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rosemary; son, Ronald J. DeFrancis Jr.; daughters, Renee Merritt and Angela (Scott) Burtis; seven grandchildren; and brother, Charles DeFrancis.
Services will be Tuesday 10 AM at the North Syracuse Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 PM at the North Syracuse Baptist Church.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the North Syracuse Baptist Church.
