Ronald J. Hill, Sr.
February 2, 1940 — October 26, 2021
Ronald J. Hill, Sr., 81, of Fort Myers, FL and Cicero, NY died October 26th after a lengthy battle with heart failure.
He is survived by his wife and companion of 33 years, "Dorrie"; brother Stewart (Beverly) Hill, sons, Ronald, Jr. and his wife, Desiree and Adam and his wife, Amy; daughter, Heather Cacchione; five grandchildren, Alyssum Carlisle, Zoey Hill, Zachary Hill, Austin Hill and Amber Hill; step-sons, Jeffrey, John and James Fleming and four step-grandchildren.
He was self employed in the automotive and convenience store fields. Ron was very active in the Service Station and Repair Shop Operators of Upstate NY and the NYS Association of Service Stations and Repair Shops, having served as President of both organizations.
Ron loved hunting and fishing. He was the Captain of The Other Woman Fishing Charters on Lake Ontario for over 40 years. He was a proud recipient of the Certificate of Merit from the US Coast Guard and Lifesaving Award from the City of Oswego. He is a lifetime member of the Stillwater Club of Canton, NY.
Following his retirement to Fort Myers, he enjoyed playing tennis and watching the "scenery" at Fort Myers Beach.
There will be no services but there will be a celebration of his life next summer at the family home on Oneida Lake.
