Ronald D. Croop II, 47, of Central Square, passed away Sunday at his home with loving family at his side. Ron was a lifelong resident of Syracuse, retiring from Chrysler with 20 years of service as a Layout Inspector/Tool and Die Maker. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, belonging to Regional Rod & Gun Clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; his sons, Ronald D. Croop III and Matthew Croop; step sons, Joseph (Courtney) Mezger, Timothy Mezger and Joshua Mezger; a daughter, Shaylea Croop; parents, Ronald D. (Carol) Croop and Cherolyn (Warren) Ottey; sisters, Elayna Backer and Sherilyn (Andrew) Jordan; one grandson, Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 7PM, at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Oswego Co.
