Our Country is in mourning, a sailor died today. Ronald E. Crandall, 72, passed away on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his family.
Ronald was born on July 23, 1944 the son of the late Harley and Gertrude Crandall. He was owner-operator of Crandall Transport for many years. He served in the US Navy and did 2 tours in Vietnam. Ron enjoyed SU Basketball, playing darts and most of all spending time with his family.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife Janet of 35 years, children; Michael (Nikki) Hastings, Chad (Mia) Crandall, Randy Crandall, grandchildren, Taylor, Trevor, Mikki, Macy, Isaiah, Jake, Julyana, Corianne,, Elijah, Chad T., Dakota, and Zachary.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9 to 10 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
Burial services will be private at Sherburne West Hill Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
