On Saturday, August 15th, Ronald F. Casolare, passed away at age 75.

Ronald was born on October 29th, 1944, in Syracuse, NY to Edward and Erma Casolare. He was a husband, father and grandfather.

He entered the Marines after high school in 1963.

On August 10th, 1968, he married Susan Sauer. They raised 3 children together in West Monroe, NY.

Ronald is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Erma Casolare, as well as siblings; Erma Casolare, Norma Casolare, Walter Casolare, Diane Twiss and David Casolare.

He is survived by his wife, Susan J Casolare of West Monroe, NY; his 3 children, Robin Casolare Wood (Peter) of Charlotte, NC, Jeffrey Casolare (Jennifer), and Pamela Casolare; and 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Dylan, Julia, Amanda, and Izzabelle. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Lou Coon, Edward Casolare (Kathy) and Sandra Transue (Steve).

He served in the Marine Corp and was honorably discharged on July, 1967. He worked for the post office, as a security guard and then retired from Oswego County department of public works. He served his community as a volunteer at the West Monroe fire department, and was also an active member of the Masons of Central Square.

Ronald loved the outdoors. He would hunt, golf, fish, tell old stories, and enjoyed collecting model cars and planes. He was a great cook and loved cookies. He had so much excitement in his life from beginning to end. He was an amazing man.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Ronald will be missed by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Masonic Lodge #622 of Central Square, NY or the West Monroe Fire Department in West Monroe, NY will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
