Ronald Alexander Grant, of N. Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday at his home.
Ronald was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose Frances (Noonan); daughter, JoAnne Grant and brother, John Grant.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Laura (Doug) Reynolds, Patricia (Kip) Redfield and Marybeth (Peter) Vasiloff; grandchildren, Sarah, Caitlin, Alexander, Erin, Victoria, Alicia and Matthew and great-granddaughter, Irie.
He was a Royal Canadian Navy veteran of World War II, serving at sea in the North Atlantic with Convoy Escort Groups. Mr. Grant was formerly National Sales Manager of Brent Chemicals Corporation of Stamford, CT. Since retirement in 1991, he was involved in various area activities and was a daily communicant at St. Rose of Lima Church.
Ronald's family would like to extend their gratitude to Sherry Mallinger and Toby Ballard for their care and compassion over the last few years, as well as all who supported their family during this time.
Calling hours will be 4-7pm Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Mass will be 10:30am Friday at St. Rose of Lima Church, N. Syracuse. Private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of CNY or a charity of one's choice.
