Ronald A. Paquette, 82, a Syracuse native, passed away Thursday at the VA Hospital after a short illness.
Ron was a Navy veteran, serving from 1948-1952.
He was a welder at Carrier Corp. for 16 years.
Ron owned and operated three small businesses in the greater Syracuse area, most notably Custom Paving.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mary.
Survived by a sister-in-law Patricia D'Agostino; four children: son Frederick Rancier of Las Vegas, NV, son Ronald D. Paquette and daughter Patricia Harroun, both of Liverpool, and son, Chuck of Little York, NY; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-7PM Monday with a ceremony immediately following at 7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.
