Roger E. LaBarre, 84, of North Syracuse, passed away Sunday at his home. Born in Stillwater, MN, he was an Army Veteran, serving in WWII. Roger was a part of the D-Day Invasion, landing on Omaha Beach and also involved in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from the Andersen Corp. with 36 yrs. of service.
He is survived by his wife of 56 yrs., Avis May LaBarre; 4 sons, Steven (Kim) LaBarre, Dennis (Connie) LaBarre, Thomas LaBarre, Richard (Giovanna) LaBarre; a daughter, Amelia (Don) Pikarsky; 11 Grandchildren and a great grandson;
Services will be held on Wednesday, 1 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will follow in the North Syracuse Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church, Cicero, NY.
