Robert "Red" Zera, 83, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday March 23rd at home surrounded by family. Robert was born in Syracuse on November 11, 1938 son of the late Valentine and Helena Zera. Robert retired from Onondaga County and from Syracuse University. Red always enjoyed talking to his many friends and going out dancing. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Helena (Robert) Scott, Lori Hemmer of CA, brother, Richy (Teresa) Zera, sister, Theresa (Edward) Glowacki, 3 grandchildren, Dante, Derek and Dean. Close friend, Jakki Bodah along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 4pm.
