Robert T. Weichert, 82, of North Syracuse, (formerly from the Westside), passed away Thursday. Bob was born in Syracuse and was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War and was awarded combat infantryman recognition. He retired from the US Postal Service with over 25 years of service.
He is survived by nieces, Christine Hiller and Barbara (Robert) Spaulding; nephew, William (Phyllis) Weichert; and several grand nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, 9:30AM at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
