Robert "Bob" Sheldon Whiting, 88, of Liverpool, passed away Thursday with his wife by his side.
Bob was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Navy, serving in WWII.
After his Navy service, Bob worked at GE.
He was also known as "Racer" because Bob raced cars in the Syracuse area. He was a car fanatic.
Survivors include his wife, Marian "Mary" Whiting; his sister, Margaret Macri; his niece Linda Sorridino.
A memorial service will be 10:00 AM Sat. Dec. 7th at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to Parkinson's Foundation.
