Robert P. "Bob" Fehrman, 81, of Brewerton, lost his long battle with bone marrow cancer on Wednesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 29, 1933, son of the late Carl E. and Mildred E. (Pratt) Fehrman. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Bob retired from Western Electric/Verizon as an Operations Manager at the Thompson Road Location. He was active in Boy Scouts helping to establish Troop 333 of Cicero Center. Bob was always active with his children's activities from scouts to band to sports. His hobbies were boating, fishing, traveling and of late, casinos. He was predeceased by his first wife of 19 years, Nina Mae (Pope), 3 brothers; Carl, Jr., Richard & William and 2 sisters; Betty (Glenn) Van Sanford, Marilyn (Dick) Gilkey.
Surviving are his loving wife & best friend Nedra (Piersall) of 35 years, 4 sons; Douglas, Brewerton, Robert (Dawn), Central Square, David (Jenn), Farmingville, daughter, Dawn Baker, Auburn, step son Jeff Sydney, Liverpool, 19 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, brother Ronald, Clay, sisters; Lois Lupole and Nancy (Bill) Cramer, of East Syracuse, brother & sister-in-law; Nick & Andria (Piersall) Kowalczyk, Chandler, AZ, sisters-in-law; Helen (Pope) Fehrman, Chittenango & Pauline (Pope) Green, Baldwinsville, along with many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Tuesday 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, DeWitt.
