Robert Masters, 65, of Syracuse, passed away May 19, 2021.

Robert was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 21, 1955 to the late Ralph and Lucy Masters. Robert worked for many years as a security guard with Allied Universal. He was in the Army and served two tours in Vietnam. He loved NASCAR and baseball.

Robert was a hard worker and most of all loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and fishing with his step-son Lucas. He was affectionately known as Grandpoo and Papa. To Robert no one was a stranger.

He was a friend to all and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Robert was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lindemeyr.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Donahue; daughter, Nicole Masters; son, Michael Masters; three step-sons, Jacob Donahue, Seth Donahue, Lucas Donahue; three Step-daughters, Eliza (Erik) Samchisen, Hannah Donahue, and Madeline Donahue; a sister, Carmel McCadden; brother, Duane (Linda) Masters; and numerous grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, June 2nd from 4pm -7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St. North Syracuse, NY 13212. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
