Robert J. Kohanski

Robert J. "Bob" Kohanski, 61, of North Syracuse passed away on Sunday, September 22, at the VA Medical Center peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Syracuse on October 7, 1957, son of the late John and Janice Kohanski.
Bob served in the US Navy and retired from Allied Eastern Company.
He enjoyed his time spent with family at his camp in Sawyers Bay. He also liked watching the Yankees, Giants and SU Lacrosse. He was a member of the Tipperary Hill Athletic Club and the West End PBA Little League.
Robert is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of 40 years; children, Stephen Kohanski, Leanne Kohanski, Daniel Kohanski, ad Tammy (Lou) Malvasi; grandchildren, McCaslynn and Riley; brothers, John (Carlene), Joe (Tammie), Jack (Wendy), Tim (Sue) and Jeff (Beverly); sister, Paula (Pat) Grimshaw; brother-in-law, Ron Betts; sister-in-law, Tammy Kohanski, along with many nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Lola.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Joannie and brother, Jim.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26th from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
