Robert T. Jonick, 83, native of Syracuse, passed away on November 25, 2022.
Robert proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and went into law enforcement where he served at Jamesville Correctional Facility for over 20 years.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
Robert enjoyed fishing, woodworking and being a hunter safety instructor. Most of all, he loved his wife's good cooking and joining his friends for breakfast at local diners.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah M. Giocondo; wife of over 55 years, Brenda Jonick and half-brother, William Salmon.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Robyn Jonick; grandson, Geoff Giocondo and granddaughter, Gianna (Robert Pavente) Giocondo and many brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 9th 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10th 11am at the funeral home with burial to follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
