Robert A. Jones, 69, of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side.
Born on November 4, 1951 in Syracuse, NY, to Joseph and Shirley Jones. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman enjoying both hunting and fishing with his close friends.
He also hunted locally with Ted Nugent. He enjoyed traveling to Costa Rica, Alaska and Newfoundland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Tina; siblings, Stephen (Sheila) Jones, Kenneth (Holly Green) Jones, Maureen (Robert Frigon) Stetson and Vicki Jones; his lifelong best friends, William and Harry Newcomb; many nieces and nephews; great nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a godfather to several.
Predeceased by his father, Joseph Jones and brother, David Jones. A celebration of his life will be held in the near future. Donations may be made to The American Red Cross in his memory.
He proudly donated over 15 gallons throughout his lifetime.
