Robert J. "Bob" Salmonsen, 89, of Memphis, NY, passed away on Sunday peacefully at St. Camillus Nursing Home. He was born on June 5, 1924 in East Syracuse, son of the late Carl & Alice Salmonsen. He retired from Agway after 36 years and was a vol. fireman for the Memphis Vol. Fire Dept. He was predeceased by first wife, Dorothy Hotaling and his second wife Emma Beckley.
Surviving are his children: Alice Kranz, Lee Salmonsen, Tom Salmonsen and Kenneth Salmonsen, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his brother, Jack Salmonsen.
Services will be held on Friday 2pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. There are no calling hours. Burial will take place later in the Spring at Fayetteville Cemetery, Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Camillus Nursing Home.
